PROFIL PRACOWNIKA: Katarzyna Małecka

Katarzyna A. Małecka pracuje w Zakładzie Literatury i Kultury Północnoamerykańskiej Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego. Jest autorem licznych publikacji poświęconych śmierci i żałobie w literaturze, między innymi książek Death in the Works of Galway Kinnell (2008) oraz Grief Memoirs: Cultural, Supportive, and Therapeutic Significance (2013). Jest laureatką trzech międzynarodowych stypendiów: stypendium przyznanego przez Instytut Nauk Humanistycznych w Wiedniu (badania nad biblioterapeutycznymi aspektami literatury w pracy z dziećmi); stypendium Fulbrighta przyznane przez Polsko-Amerykańską Komisję Fulbrighta (badania nad użyciem współczesnych pamiętników żałoby w terapii żałoby); oraz stypendium Fundacji Kościuszkowskiej (badania nad wspierającymi, biblioterapeutycznymi, oraz edukacyjnymi aspektami pamiętników żałoby). Obecnie pracuje nad nowym projektem poświęconym biblioterapeutycznym zastosowaniom narracji żałoby w warunkach klinicznych oraz ich wykorzystaniu w edukacji przyszłych specjalistów wspomagających osoby w żałobie.
