Participants of the panel "Science made in Poland – what are we really fighting for in foreign promotion?"
The 2nd Internationalisation Congress was a continuation of the debate that began in Gdańsk in spring during the first congress, which aimed at developing wise strategies for the internationalisation of Polish higher education and science.
The inter-ministerial debate of the deputy ministers: science, foreign affairs, funds and regional policy, as well as development and technology constituted the key point of the programme. It was attended by: Prof. Andrzej Szeptycki, Dr Henryka Mościcka-Dendys, Jan Szyszko and Ignacy Niemczycki. The inaugural lecture was given by prof. Hans de Wit, who is an outstanding Dutch expert in the field of internationalisation
During the congress, experts from all over Europe who deal with the creation and implementation of national internationalisation strategies presented their experiences. Participants discussed recommendations for Poland, which, under the auspices of NAWA, is working on a national strategy for the internationalisation of science and higher education.
Anna Rolczak, Deputy Chancellor of the University of Lodz, long-time Head of the Commmunications and PR Cebtre at the University of Lodz and Vice-President of the Stowarzyszenie PR i Promocji Uczelni Polskich „PRom” participated in one of the thematic panels of the congress entitled "Science made in Poland – what are we really fighting for in foreign promotion?", led by Natalia Osica.
The event covered a wide range of issues, including the extent to which the country's vision of development should include internationalisation and the participation of Polish researchers in the EU framework programmes. Particular attention was paid to European talent retention strategies in research, innovation and entrepreneurship. Additionally, issues of alliances of European Universities and their role in building strategic relationships and improving the quality and effectiveness of scientific research were also discussed.
