Spotkania z François Jullienem – światowej sławy filozofem

The pretext for the meetings is the premiere of his book published by the Lodz University Press entitled Ponownie otworzyć możliwości: de-koincydencja, kolejne życie. Wybór tekstów [Reopening the possibilities: de-coincidence, another life. Selected texts] (translated and edited by E. Marynowicz-Hetka).

The French philosopher comes with a series of lectures and meetings with readers of his books, devoted to the issue of de-coincidence understood as an ars operandi / art of action / of life oriented towards reopening the possibilities, seeing the cracks in the transformation of individual and social lives.

François Jullien is a renowned French philosopher, a Hellenist and a sinologist. He has positioned his work between the thoughts of China and Europe developing intercultural reflection as well as the philosophy of existence. He proposes a different approach to change, which he places as thinking about transformations. He is one of the contemporary French thinkers whose works are translated in more than 20 countries. He is the Founder and President of L'Association Décoïncidences.
