The audience from Lodz will have a chance to hear a soprano Jing Chen and a pianist Zhiyu Wang, who are completing doctoral internships at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Lodz. The programme includes compositions by Chopin (Etude in B minor, Op. 25 No. 10, Waltz in A flat major, Op. 42, Polonaise in A flat major, Op. 53), Rusalka's aria Měsíčku na nebi hlubokém from Dvořák's opera "Rusalka" and Mimì's aria Sì, mi chiamano Mimì from Puccini's opera "La Bohème".
Jing Chen is from Shanghai. She graduated in musicology from Fujian Normal University. She continued her musical education during MA studies in vocal performance at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She is a member of Shanghai Conservatory of Music Youth Choir.
Zhiyu Wang started to learn to play the piano at the age of four in the class of Prof. ShuHua Chen at the university music school in Xiamen. He began his studies at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Lodz in 2018 and he graduated with distinction. He is a winner of many awards at international piano competitions in Poland (Antoniew, Żyrardów) and abroad (including Bimingham, Vienna, London, Lugano). He has also participated in many master classes led by outstanding teachers, including Cyprien Katsaris, Pierluigi Camicia, Sofya Gulyak, Giorgia Brustia, and Beata Bilińska.
