InnHUB has been operating since 2023, the opening of the headquarters took place on 11 February of the current year.
The University of Lodz Vice-Rector for Internationalisation of Science and Education, dr hab. Katarzyna de Lazari-Radek, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, together with the Rectors of universities from Lodz and Mirosław Marczewski, General Director of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System, discussed the strategies for the internationalisation of the region from the perspective of the Lodz Academic Partnership in the opening panel.
Building relationships in the local community at various levels is extremely important. This applies especially to primary school and high school students, who are the future student and staff base of Lodz universities. The Erasmus+ programme provides opportunities for development from the youngest years, already at the school level, which is why as the University of Lodz we share our rich experience with educational institutions in the region, building internationalisation in synergy in education

Panellists at the opening of the Erasmus+ InnHUB Lodz
Mgr inż. Izabella Szudrowicz, project coordinator at the KnowBase Centre for Scientific Research Quality at the Faculty of Management, University of Lodz, was invited to participate in the panel entitled "Erasmus Bridges: How can universities broaden horizons in various sectors and communities?". During the panel, experts presented Erasmus+ projects implemented by Lodz universities in various thematic sectors. The panel was moderated by Katarzyna Aleksy (Director of the Office of Higher Education Programmes at FRSE). The panel participants told the stories of the projects, underlining the role of universities as key centres of lifelong learning. They exchanged experiences and good practices from the activities implemented by Lodz universities as part of Erasmus+ projects. The presented Erasmus+ projects showed the power of building valuable relationships between diverse communities.
In the next panel discussion entitled "Let's talk about good practices – meeting with beneficiaries of the Erasmus+ Programme", dr hab. Izabela Warwas, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, Head of the Department of Labour and Social Policy at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology, took the floor. The two-year Social Enterprises Management project, which she headed, was addressed to social entrepreneurs who have problems with the challenges posed by the changing world and want to implement innovative international projects. Social entrepreneurs need new competences and expect cooperation with universities, both with scientists and students or doctoral students. International projects provide them with such an opportunity.

The entire panel discussion was devoted to, among other things, good practices of the Erasmus+ programme, and the speakers talked about how universities can go beyond the traditional framework of academic Erasmus initiatives, engaging in activities in areas such as youth, sports, school education and vocational education and training.
An additional goal of the meeting was to inspire cooperation and underline the role of universities as key centres of lifelong education. In addition to sharing experiences and successes related to project implementation, participants also talked about difficulties, organisational challenges and ways to overcome them, sometimes not obvious.
Erasmus+ InnHUB Lodz is an important place in the region of Lodz for gaining knowledge about international educational opportunities and exchanging experiences.
