On this occasion, we would like to invite all interested parties to join us in the observations, which will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Faculty of Physics and Applied Informatics, University of Lodz.
🔭 What awaits us?
- Possibility of safe observation of the eclipse using special telescopes and filters,
- Explanation of the course of the phenomenon by doctoral students from our faculty,
- A short introduction to the subject of eclipses – you will learn how and why they occur and when and where you can see the next ones.
A solar eclipse is a phenomenon that happens relatively rarely – in Poland, the last total eclipse took place in 1954, and the next one will not be visible until 2135. Although partial eclipses occur more often, each one is unique and is a great opportunity to popularise science.
Remember – never look at the Sun without proper filters! Specialised equipment for safe observations will be available on site.
