In the new role Jacek Olczak is responsible for implementation of the PMI global strategy and realization of commercial plans of the company both in the area of products with reduced risk potential, in the case of which tobacco is heated up (e.g. IQOS), as well as of traditional products.
This is yet another considerable promotion of the Pole in the leading international tobacco company. Him being appointed to the newly created post is to be a step towards the company transformation. Implementation of further changes, which are to contribute to building the future free from tobacco smoke is planned.
Jacek Olczak joined Philip Morris Polska Distribution in 1993 as a manager in the Department of Finance and Administration. After having worked in Philip Morris international (PMI) in Lozanna in 1995 as a manager in the Department of Internal Control, he came back to Poland in 1996 and had different functions in the Finance, Sales and Operations Department. Over the years 2002-2006 he worked in various points in Central Europe and in Baltic States. In 2004 he became Managing Director Poland and Baltic States. In October 2006 Jacek Olczak became Managing Director Germany and Austria. In 2018 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer. Before he joined Philip Morris International he had worked for BDO in London and in Warsaw.
