The University of Lodz is the digitisation leader among public universities in Poland. We are constantly improving our effectiveness in the area of administration and finance management, as well as internal and external communication. In 2017, together with the Opole University, we established a consortium called "Standardisation of Management Solutions for Universities", as part of which the following projects have been implemented:
- Portal Pracowniczy [Employee Service] – an IT system in the form of a web interface available to all the university employees, which allows easy access to the most important information in the field of HR and payroll, university news and important information. This tool is also an advanced electronic document handling system that supports, among other things, fully electronic handling of university processes using an unqualified electronic signature within the university.
- Rektorat 2.0 – an HR and payroll system fully adapted to the needs of large public universities. From the very beginning, it has been created based on the requirements set directly by the substantive departments of the university by the same team of experienced programmers and analysts. The key requirements for the project have always been performance, stability and security. The current version of the system is constantly being developed.
Mobile student application MyUniLodz
At the end of last year, we released a completely new product – MyUniLodz mobile student application. The first public unveiling of the application took place on 23 November 2023 at the University of Lodz Library as part of the "BUŁ integruje" event. The app enables you to find, among other things: the most important faculty information, news and announcements. The "knowledge base" module also contains general information – about studies abroad, scholarships, career development opportunities, dormitories, canteens and healthcare.
Maciej Sysak – Rector's Representative for the IT and Communication Systems Development at the University of Lodz – explains:
We have created, developed and implemented a completely new student-university communication tool. The MyUniLodz mobile student application is software available on mobile devices (tablets, phones) on two leading platforms – Android and iOS. Students have chosen the name of the application and now they can take advantage of its capabilities.
Anyone who has an email account at the University of Lodz and access to our university's IT systems has access to the application.
