The University of Lodz Faculty of Management has launched a new international scientific project – DeepBioTech. The aim of this interdisciplinary project is to combine the experience of Life and Social Sciences in order to influence positive changes in higher education, provide students with broader horizons and implement technology transfer.

Dr hab. T. Bartosz Kalinowski, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz is the project manager, while the team includes scientists from Poland (Faculty of Management, University of Lodz; Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, University of Lodz; Poznań University of Life Sciences), Turkey (Yasar University), Germany (ACCEU), Greece (Smart Agro Hub), Romania (HELIXCONNECT EUROPE) and Serbia (DeepTech Balkans).

We hope that DeepBioTech will act as a catalyst for universities and help:

  1. Transform higher education and research in the life sciences towards innovation, entrepreneurship and social impact.
  2. Support Life Sciences students in considering deep tech issues,
  3. Implement technology transfer and innovation in the Life Sciences through deep tech innovation and economic, environmental and social impact.

As the project manager, dr hab. T.
