Zawodnik AZS Łódź siódmy na igrzyskach olimpijskich w Paryżu

Maksymilian Szwed from the Academic Sports Association in Lodz (AZS Lodz), taking part in the mixed 4x100 relay together with Justyna Święty-Ersetic (Academic Sports Association AWF Katowice), Karol Zalewski (Academic Sports Association UWM Olsztyn) and Alicja Wrona-Kutrzepa (Academic Sports Association UMCS Lublin), took seventh place in the final with a time of 3.12.39. It was the Olympic debut of the athlete from Lodz, the youngest competitor in the team.

 

The nineteen-year-old Maksymilian Szwed can already boast a bronze medal at the European Junior Championships in the 400 m race. At the same competition, he also took part in the relay, which took 6th place. Earlier this year, he won the gold medal at the Polish Championships – with a time of 45.25, he set not only his personal best, but also the Polish junior record.
