The gathered guests were welcomed by Agnieszka Belowska-Gosławska, Vice-President Digital & Technology, ABSL, who emphasized how important it was to remind people of the role that values played in our private and professional lives, and therefore building and promoting an open, inclusive culture that promoted the development of people and organisations.
Then Prof. Agnieszka Kurczewska, the University of Lodz Vice-Rector for External Relations took the floor. She welcomed the gathered guests on behalf of the University of Lodz. In her speech, Prof. Kurczewska emphasized that values determined the goals and meaning of functioning, both individually, but also for us as an academic community. Later in her speech, the Vice-Rector recalled the university values and all the initiatives that have been undertaken at the university in recent years, including: the establishment of the Gender Equality Board, the introduction of the Gender Equality Plan, the signing of the Diversity Charter, and the activities of the Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Mobbing Committee. She also emphasized the role and importance of the activities of the Academic Support Centre.
The debate entitled "A sense of belonging in changing conditions. How to find yourself in a time of social, cultural and business transformation?" was attended by: Prof. Eleonora Bielawska-Batorowicz from the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology at the University of Lodz; Adam Pustelnik – First Deputy Mayor of the City of Lodz; Ewelina Gallas – Managing Director at the Equal Opportunities Foundation. Paweł Śpiechowicz who is a journalist, a copywriter and a communication specialist was the debate moderator. The guest of the event was also Tomasz Karauda who is a doctor from the University Clinical Hospital. Just before the debate, he shared his experiences with the audience and talked about the values that were important to him.

The debate entitled "Many shades of belonging and commitment" was attended by: Agnieszka Belowska-Gosławska – Vice President Digital and Technology ABSL; Michał Bielawski – Managing Partner and Financial Director of ADAPTIVE Solutions & Advisory Group. The University of Lodz was represented by Emilia Nowak – a student of Contemporary Culture and Art at the University of Lodz, a BA holder in Social Project Management at the University of Wrocław, a co-founder and a President of the Feminist Gender Studies Circle “Anti-Rama”. Joanna Gembal who is a leader of the inclusion and diversity area at Accenture was the debate moderator.
