Below you can find the most important information about the rules of sharing and the space for learning.
👉 SHARING COLLECTIONS ON SITE (seat reservation does not apply)
☑️ Free Access Zone – 60 places to work (15 places on each floor), 12 computer units (3 units on each floor).
☑️ The Main Reading Room - 20 places to work, 2 computer units, a workstation for using Eurostat microdata.
☑️ Historical Reading Room - 20 places to work, 2 computer units.
☑️ Special Collections Reading Room - 5 places to work, 1 computer unit. Resources of all sections of the Special Collections Department are made available, after agreeing the details of order with an employee of the section responsible for a given type of resources. Open: Mon, Wed, Fri 10 a.m. -1 p.m.; Tue, Thu 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
👉 THE COWORKING ZONE is 200 square metres of space, where you can free your mind. It consists of:
a lecture zone equipped with a screen and projector, and comfortable chairs. It is a perfect place for meetings with interesting people, inspiring lectures and trainings;
a learning zone - here you can study at one of the tables or isolate yourself more in boxes separated by walls. There are also wooden "houses" at your disposal. It is a perfect place to work in small teams;
a relaxation zone - here you can relax and get away from learning: a gigantic map of Lodz, large tables so that you can talk or play board games in a larger group, soft pouffes and seats where you can relax.
The zone can be used by up to 10 people at the same time!
👉 ROOMS FOR INDIVIDUAL WORK
Rooms for individual work of the UL students are located on the 2nd floor of the FREE ACCESS ZONE. There are also rooms for doctoral students and scientific workers of our University. Booking services: rezerwacje.pokoi@lib.uni.lodz.pl, phone: +48 42 635 64 82
👉 A STUDY ROOM FOR A PARENT WITH A CHILD
The room for parents with children is equipped with specially adapted furniture, books, educational toys and other accessories. There is also a resting area with comfortable armchairs. There are two workstations for caretakers with the possibility of connecting their own laptop, where they will be able to learn and work with the book collection from the Free Access Zone.
