The conference under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Science and the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP) organised as part of the International Visibility Project initiative was devoted to the analysis of key issues related to the European and world dimension of the functioning of Polish universities and the development of their international visibility.
The attendees discussed, among others, about strengthening the position of Polish University in scientific research, our position in the world rankings from the Big-4 group and others, European universities and international accreditations.
Prof. Łukasz Bogucki gave a speech as part of plenary session – Managing the area of ranking competences at universities – “good practices”, problems, recommendations
During the session numerous solutions that turned out effective for the universities participating in the International Visibility Project were presented from various perspectives, starting with the Rector’s to a specialist's operating in the field of rankings. The objective of this part of the meeting was to indicate a path to develop efficient ways of managing ranking area at universities.
“A systemic approach to rankings is one of the elements of the new strategy of UL” – reminded prof. Bogucki. “Rankings constitute a tool that informs authorities of a university about its strengths and weaknesses. Thanks to the conferences of Perspektywy, getting to know methodologies and good practices we can use this tool more effectively”.
