As a socially responsible university, we want to be present wherever something important happens and to engage in active dialogue with the business world. For this reason, the University of Lodz community cannot miss the European Forum for New Ideas 2024, an event that is one of the largest conferences in this part of the continent, dedicated to global trends, new ideas and the future of Europe.
The forum serves as a platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas between representatives of the world of business, science, culture, decision-makers, opinion leaders and representatives of local, national and European administration, gathering about a thousand participants every year. The European Forum for New Ideas has been organised since 2011 by the Polish Confederation Lewiatan in cooperation with BusinessEurope and the city of Sopot. This year's edition, as announced by the organisers, will be exceptional due to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Lewiatan Confederation.

Full programme of the EFNI 2024 is available on the website of the event.
We want to find out how the AI revolution will affect the innovation of companies, the labour market, the skills of the future, and therefore also education. This challenge does not remove us from urgent issues such as the green transformation, Poland's participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine or building a competitive Polish economy but complicates the picture. In Polish realities, there is a political context, legal chaos, lack of transparency, when entrepreneurs have to pass a test of resourcefulness and mental resilience
– says Dr Henryka Bochniarz, Head of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers 'Lewiatan'.
Previous editions of EFNI have hosted, among others, Herman Van Rompuy – DHC of the University of Lodz, Jeffrey David Sachs – DHC of the University of Lodz, José Manuel Durão Barroso - DHC of the University of Lodz, Mikhail Gorbachev, George Friedman, Zbigniew Brzeziński, Frans Timmermans, Bernard-Henri Lévy.
The main knowledge partners of the EFNI 2024 include the University of Lodz and the SGH Warsaw School of Economics
