„Srebrne Poranki” – prezentacja efektu rezydencji Kryzys dobrostanu

"Silver Mornings" is a new initiative supporting self-organization and mutual aid among seniors in Łódź. It draws inspiration from effective networking practices commonly applied in business and cultural sectors.

Date: November 25, 2024 (Monday), 4:00 PM
Venue: Academic Center for Artistic Initiatives (AOIA),
54/56 Zachodnia Street, 90-403 Łódź (Balcony Hall).
Admission: Free.

The concept of "Silver Mornings" was developed during the first residency under the project Performative Research in the Face of Civilizational Challenges. This initiative employs the Perebel Method, which integrates artistic sensitivity and insight with scientific methodology, critical research tools, and pragmatic business-institutional approaches.

Under the Perebel Method, the team collaborates with an organization (public or private) to address challenges it identifies. In this instance, the focus was on the observed withdrawal of seniors from social life, as reported by staff at the Factory of Urban Activity. This trend includes reduced use of social services, healthcare, and cultural offerings. Cognitive challenges and memory-related difficulties were found to be significant contributors to this phenomenon.

Through participant observation, conversations with seniors, and consultations with experts, the team proposed a solution centered on building more flexible support networks while enhancing information exchange among seniors.

"Silver Mornings" is the outcome of this process—a concept developed through prototyping and extensive consultations. The prototype (MVP) will be showcased shortly at AOIA.
