Rektor UŁ uczestniczył w spotkaniu z władzami ERC

Prof. Rafał Matera, Rector of the University of Lodz, took part in a bilateral meeting of representatives of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (CRASP) with the authorities of the European Research Council (ERC).

The talks pertained to increasing the effectiveness of Polish scientists in obtaining ERC and other European grants. They were held at the Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.

We were discussing what Polish universities could do to better motivate scientists to submit excellent applications in the subsequent editions of this grant programme. We also received a lot of specific, useful information from the President of CRASP – how to select applications, coach scientists, how to help our most outstanding researchers. I believe that thanks to such meetings we will be more visible in the subsequent editions of the programme

– said Prof. Rafał Matera, Rector of the University of Lodz after the talks.

Obtaining European grants is a key issue for us. I believe that this meeting will help to open up new opportunities for Polish science in the international arena

In addition to the Rector of the University of Lodz, Prof. Rafał Matera, the meeting was attended by: Prof. Bogumiła Kaniewska, President of CRASP, Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań; Prof. Michał Zasada, Vice-President of CRASP, Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences; Prof. Alojzy Z.
