Just a few decades ago the world was very different from the one we know today. It was characterised by grey cities, gloomy streets, inhabitants paralyzed by the lethargy of boring work as well as omnipresent propaganda imposing an empty routine. However, one monotonous day, a young artist, one might even say a dreamer, with extraordinary sensitivity to nature appears in such a reality. What's more, she starts working in the editorial office of a pro-communist newspaper, "Głos Robotniczy", where she meets people with contradictory characters – a partisan who preaches the advantages of communism and the party as well as a charismatic rebel who wants to oppose the ubiquitous propaganda and make a risky coup... Will the girl succumb to his influence or will she succumb to the pressure of society?
This question will be answered by the play entitled "Dzieci epoki" performed by this year's members of the Drama Club from the State Secondary School of the University of Lodz, and it will be done with the help of the works of the Polish Nobel Prize winner – Wisława Szymborska.
