The students, together with the participants, will also look at the effects of its work and give advice on how to avoid falling into traps set by people using artificial intelligence for manipulation and disinformation.
In recent years, the development of artificial intelligence technology has made images, videos and even sounds created by AI increasingly difficult to distinguish from real materials. This progress brings along not only exciting opportunities, but also new challenges and problems. In particular, there are increasing concerns about manipulation and disinformation, where AI-generated content is used for unethical purposes.
During the meeting at the Museum of the City of Łódź, the third-year students of New Media and Digital Culture from the Faculty of Philology at the University of Lodz will try to answer the question of how to deal with the challenges posed by artificial intelligence in the new reality. The meeting participants will have the opportunity to learn about AI tools, their capabilities and methods of recognizing materials generated by them. Techniques and tips on how to avoid traps related to manipulation and disinformation will also be presented.
The meeting will be held on 18 February (Sunday) at 4:00 p.m. at the Museum of the City of Łódź. Admission to the event is: PLN 1 for a reduced ticket, PLN 3 for a regular ticket.
