On 9 July 2021, the Order of the President of the City of Lodz No. 7712 / VIII / 21 was issued, amending the Order No.5804/VIII/2020 of the President of the City of Lodz of 3 December 2020 on founding the City Commission on Architecture and Urban Planning in Lodz, its organisation and mode of operation.
As a result of the introduced changes, dr hab. Dominik Drzazga from the Department of City and Regional Management, Faculty of Management, University of Lodz was appointed the Chairman of the City Commission on Architecture and Urban Planning in Lodz.
Another member of the Committee (appointed in December 2020) is prof. dr hab. Tadeusz Markowski (Department of City and Regional Management, Faculty of Management, University of Lodz).
The City Commission on Architecture and Urban Planning in Lodz is an advisory body to the President of the City of Lodz with respect to the issues of spatial planning and development. The Commission was appointed by the President of the City of Lodz pursuant to Art. 30 sec. 1 of the Act of 8 March 1990 on the communal self-government and art. 8 sec. 3 of the Act of 27 March 2003 on spatial planning and development. The committee issues opinions on draft of local spatial development plans and studies conditions and directions of the city's spatial development, as well as projects of their changes.
