Dr Jakub Zasina laureatem stypendium MEiN dla wybitnych młodych naukowców

Dr Jakub Zasina from the Department of Regional Economics and the Environment at the Institute of Urban and Regional Studies and Planning of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Lodz has been awarded the scholarship of the Minister of Education and Science for outstanding young scientists. These prestigious scholarships are awarded for a period of 3 years to young scientists who demonstrate significant achievements in their scientific activities. In this year's edition of the competition, scholarships were awarded to 230 persons selected of 1,828 submitted applications.

Research conducted by Dr Jakub Zasina from the Department of Regional Economics and the Environment is interdisciplinary in nature, as it belongs to two disciplines, i.e. Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management (leading discipline) and Economics and Finance (additional discipline). Dr Zasina is an urban scholar. His research focuses mainly on the process of the so-called studentification.
