COST is the longest-running European programme supporting multilateral cooperation between researchers, engineers scientists and representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises from Europe.
For people of science, this is a unique opportunity to jointly, by creating networks of nationally funded research networks, develop ideas and new initiatives in all fields of science and technology, including social sciences and humanities. Although COST actions do not financially support scientific research, they broadly co-finance the activity of established scientific networks by reimbursing costs related to mobility, participation in expert meetings, conferences and summer schools, as well as enable short-term internships in foreign centres. As a forerunner of advanced multidisciplinary research, COST plays a very important role in building the European Research Area.
During the meeting, we will answer questions such as:
- What are the greatest successes in COST's 50-year history?
- What is COST's policy pertaining to scientific excellence?
- What are the synergies between COST and the Framework Programmes?
- How to get involved in COST?
- How does COST interact with its stakeholders?
The event will be held in English.
