This unique event will begin on 17 July 2022 at 9:00 p.m. in the Atlas Arena – the sports and entertainment hall. We encourage you to contact the organisers for free invitations.
During the ceremony, there will be a solemn march of players from 39 European countries – nearly 6,000 athletes representing 19 disciplines, 1,000 volunteers, and then the official opening of the Games. After the protocol part, the artistic part and a concert of a 100-person orchestra combined with a visual show will begin.
Many special guests have been invited to the ceremony, including the President of the Republic of Poland, the Prime Minister of Poland, the President of the City of Lodz, the President of Academic Sports Club, the President of EUSA and the Ambassadors of the event, including such personalities as Marcin Gortat, Euzebiusz Smolarek, Adam Kszczot and Kajetan Duszyński.
In order to receive limited and free invitations, intended only for the University of Lodz employees, students and their families, please send your application by 4 July to the following e-mail address: biletyeug2022@info.p.lodz.pl, indicating the number of tickets (maximum 6 tickets; providing personal data of the invited persons is not required).

European Universities Games (EUG) – this is the flagship event of the EUSA (European University Sport Association). The EUG takes place every 2 years in different European cities. This year, all universities in Lodz join forces and organise this most important event bringing together athletes – students from all over Europe. Lodz University of Technology is the main organiser, while University of Lodz, together with EUSA, the Academic Sports Club and the City of Lodz, are co-organisers.
