Previous conferences have focused primarily on the protection of bats and their enormous role in the ecosystem – how and to what extent bats influence the balance in the environment around them.
The three-day conference will be full of various activities. In addition to papers and lectures on bat research and activities for their protection, many attractions have been prepared for the participants, such as competitions and bonfires. After the substantive part, trips around the area are planned, including a visit to a cave and bunker shrouded in legend. The conference will be accompanied by a meeting of the Ogólnopolskie Towarzystwo Ochrony Nietoperzy (OTON) [Polish Society for the Protection of Bats].
Bat lovers who will not be able attend the conference still have a chance to support the protection of these animals. You can make donations for this noble cause via the website of Projekt czynnej ochrony mopka zachodniego zakończony sukcesem [Successfully completed active protection project of the western barbastelle]. The project has been a complete success so far, and now OTON is planning to expand it across Poland.
