ABOUT THE JERZY GIEDROYC CENTRE
We can give two answers to the question of what should be done with the intellectual heritage of the Literary Institute in Paris. i.e.
- find a worthy place for it in the carefully guarded treasury of national memorabilia;
- make it an object of scientific research and a source of inspiration in reflection on the future of Central and Eastern Europe.
In the face of the revival of Russian imperialism, which primarily threatens the sovereignty of the countries of the region, indicating which one is the right answer seems obvious. It should not be forgotten how much work still needs to be done so that the level of understanding and interaction between the nations of Central and Eastern Europe can be considered satisfactory.
