Monika Palmowska graduated in economics from the University of Lodz. She started working in tax advisory in 1998. She has many years of experience in tax advisory for Polish and international companies. In July 2003, she joined the transfer pricing team of KPMG in Poland.
She specialises in advising on restructuring, supply chain creation and modelling, transfer of intangible assets and the creation of international and Polish holding structures in various sectors of business, including the financial sector, high-tech and consumer markets.
She is involved in numerous projects on the development of model solutions for related party transactions, the design and optimisation of settlement structures, ongoing transfer pricing advice, the preparation of economic analyses to determine the market level of transfer prices and documentation for related party transactions. She actively participates in the defence of settlement rules and transfer pricing policies of related parties challenged by tax authorities during audits.
She is also involved in negotiations as part of the procedure for concluding agreements on transaction pricing with the Minister of Finance. She actively participates in the Working Groups at the Transfer Pricing Forum – an opinion and advisory team at the Ministry of Finance, within the Forum she works on the analysis of regulations and recommendations concerning the functioning of the tax system in the field of transfer pricing. She is the author of numerous articles and press commentaries related to transfer pricing issues and co-author of the Tax Almanac.
She also conducts training and workshops on transfer pricing.
