POSITION DESCRIPTION

Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Lodz and Leader of the Mathematical Modelling and Computational Methods Team at the Centre for Data Analysis, Modelling, and Computational Sciences of the University of Lodz.

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Institute of Computer Science of the Silesian University of Technology. He completed foreign research internships at Duke University (USA) and at the Justus Liebig University (Germany). He is the head of post-graduate studies in Data Analysis and Data Mining at the University of Lodz. He is currently an assistant professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Lodz and scientific research team leader at the Centre for Analysis, Modelling, and Computational Sciences of the University of Lodz.Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Lodz and scientific research team leader at the Centre for Analysis, Modelling, and Computational Sciences of the University of Lodz. Manager and contractor of many scientific projects, including projects financed by the National Science Centre (Poland) and the National Centre for Research and Development (Poland). He conducts scientific research and lectures in the field of computer science as well as data analysis. Member of the Polish Bioinformatics Society.

I participated in various research and teaching projects:

  • A project that covers basic research and is financed by the National Science Centre. Title: Basic research on a new concept of using DNA computations. Grant number: 2023/07/X/ST6/00078.
  • A project that covers basic research and is financed by the National Science Centre. Title: Development of a multistate DNA computer through the use of multiple restriction enzymes. Grant number: DEC-2011/01/B/NZ2/03022.
  • McKinsey Polska project titled Data Science in Practice. The main goal of the project was to solve a practical problem posed by the business partner, which in the fifth edition of the project was mBank S.A.
  • The project of the National Centre for Research and Development entitled STUDENTS' POWER - a comprehensive university development programme.
  • Project titled SCOUTING - an active system for monitoring and assessing the market potential of research work - the key to cooperation between science and entrepreneurs, a project implemented under the Human Capital Operational Program as the so-called "innovative testing project", Measure 8.2.1.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Co-author of many publications in scientific journals, including: Applied Sciences, Theoretical Computer Science, Fundamenta Informaticae.
  • Co-author of announcements at international scientific conferences published, among others, in Lecture Notes in Computer Science and in IEEE Xplore.
