POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Office Management: Coordinating the work of the team, planning and supervising office activities.
- Support for Students and Staff: Providing support for students and staff with disabilities, including counseling, assistance in adapting educational materials, and organizing training sessions.
- Accessibility Monitoring: Supervising and verifying the accessibility of university infrastructure, including buildings, digital resources, and educational materials.
- Collaboration with Other Units: Working with university authorities, lecturers, and other units to ensure full integration of persons with disabilities into academic life.
- Education and Awareness: Organizing informational campaigns and training sessions to raise awareness about the needs of persons with disabilities.
- Fundraising: Applying for grants and funds for projects aimed at improving conditions for persons with disabilities.
- Reporting: Preparing reports and analyses on the office's activities and progress in terms of accessibility and support for persons with disabilities.
BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
From 2000 to 2024, I worked in the NGO sector. First almost 15 years in an association and then in a social cooperative.
I have always been professionally connected with the area of disability. I pay special attention to places where disability comes into contact with the environment because that's where the most needed adjustments can be made.
I am well versed in the accessibility of physical and virtual spaces for people with different characteristics. I have participated in many activities seeking adequate solutions for people with disabilities, seniors, people temporarily experiencing mobility or perception limitations.
I was a member of the Accessibility Council under the Minister of Development in its first term.
