SCIENTIFIC AND SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILES

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Artur earned his Ph.D. in Economics in 2018 and obtained his habilitation degree in 2024. He worked in the Department of Management in the Network Society at Kozminski University, then moved to the Department of Management at the Faculty of Management, University of Łódź, where he has led the Center for Research on Artificial Intelligence and Cybercommunication since 2019. Simultaneously, he is a researcher at the International Research Center (CITAD) at Lusíada University, Urban Sensorial Laboratory in Lisbon, Iris Ancona Institute in Riga, Augmented Human Intelligence & Digital Ergonomics Lab at Universita di Pavia in Italy, Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation in Florence, and the European Human Development Foundation. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the Ad Astra Scientific Consortium, a member of the Research Quality Committee at the University of Łódź, and the Young Scientists Committee at the Rector of the University of Łódź. He collaborates with the National Film School in Łódź.

Since 2019, he has led the Business Process Automation (BPA) studies, which have been recognized by the business sector for their practical approach (conducted in collaboration with companies such as Nordea, Bosch, Fujitsu, DXC Technology, Digital Workforce, and Digital Teammates). He is proud of mentoring 50 undergraduate theses. In 2023, he received the "Always for Us" award, given by graduates of the Faculty of Management to lecturers who support students in their development.

His research interests lie in combining various scientific disciplines and research methods, particularly posthumanism, transhumanism, evolutionary theory, psychology, and gender studies, to explain managerial aspects related to new technologies. His projects focus on the concept of boundaries and the reasons and methods for transgressing them, including issues of transgression and intersectionality.

He is a recipient of over 40 scholarships and scientific awards (including twice the Minister of Science and Higher Education Scholarship, the First Degree Scholarship of the Marshal of the Łódź Voivodeship, VIP DAAD Foundation Scholarship, Santander Scholarship, and Rector’s Awards for scientific, organizational, and teaching activities). He has organized numerous conferences (including in Oxford, Lisbon, Florence, and Riga) and has been involved in the implementation of ten research grants funded by the NCN, Campus Culturae, Horizon Europe, and FCP. He collaborates with businesses, including startups, in developing technological products and digital transformation of organizations. He teaches in numerous postgraduate and MBA courses and reviews articles for journals listed in the JCR (Social Network Analysis and Mining, Computers in Human Behavior, International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, International Journal of Human Resource Management). He regularly reviews grant applications in the field of new technologies for the Fulbright Program.

During his research and implementation work, he discovered and conceptualized phenomena such as techno-empowerment, technoization, algorithmic conformity, and the carnal collapse effect. In his field research, he observed the HRR (human robbing robot) phenomenon, discovered and conceptualized the Re-Manualization of Business Processes, and described the conflict of organizational roles between humans and machines (HMTRC – human machine trans role conflict). Together with posthumanist Matthew Gladden, he created the metaphor of the organization as a cyborg.

He is proficient in English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish, Italian, and Russian. He collaborates with researchers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Latvia, Sweden, Finland, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.

He actively engages in business activities, supporting companies in their digital transformation by writing grant applications, creating reports, conducting training sessions, workshops, and power speeches, as well as providing evaluations and implementation expertise in new technologies.
