DECLARATION OF ACCESSIBILITY

The University of Lodz undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. The accessibility statement applies to the website www.uni.lodz.pl.

  • Website publication date: 2021-05-30
  • Date of the last significant website update: 2022-10-17
  • Date of the last review and update: 2023-03-30

Status in terms of compliance with the Act

The website is partially compliant with the Act on Digital Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Entities due to the incompatibilities and exemptions listed below.

Inaccessible content

  • Some films do not have subtitles for deaf and deafblind people, due to the fact that they were released before the Digital Accessibility Act came into force. All new films added to our website already have such subtitles. We plan to add subtitles to films before 23 September 2020 by the end of 2022.
  • There may be cases when, despite the efforts of the service editors:

           - certain graphics do not contain the correct alternative texts and text versions,

           - on subpages related to study programmes, there is content with too little colour contrast,

           - sometimes there is content written in too small a font.

  • There may be content published on the site with graphics that contain text, due to the fact that the content on the graphic was necessary to communicate the issue effectively.
  • On some subpages there are identical headings with different levels, due to the fact that they have been prepared based on similar subject blocks or at different faculties.
  • Certain documents published on the website may not be accessible, including but not limited to incorrect numbered or bulleted lists, due to:

           - coming from a variety of sources,

           - having a structure that cannot be interfered with,

           - being published before the entry into force of the Digital Accessibility Act

  • The test form does not have text labels associated with the fields and may be problematic for those using a screen reader. You can contact us by writing to our e-mail address or calling us. Contact details are next to the contact form.
  • Archived documents published on the website before 23 September 2018 are not accessible. We have no legal obligation to adapt these documents. If you need access to those please contact us and indicate exactly which ones you are referring to and how we should adapt them.

The University of Lodz makes every effort to ensure that they are, as far as possible, improved and made digitally accessible to the widest possible audience of the service.

Content not covered by the rules

  • Maps placed on the pages and as such are excluded from the legal obligation to meet accessibility standards according to WCAG 2.1 specifications in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities (Journal of Acts 2019 item 84).

Preparation of the Declaration of Accessibility
